AWAKENING DEBUTS THIS MONTH

With the support of our Rockawalkin family, our new contemporary worship service, entitled ‘Awakening’, will debut on March 18th at 8:45am, in the sanctuary. Worship is our primary responsibility before God. It is the purpose for which we are made. God desires to be in relationship with us and we can respond to His love by worshipping Him. Fortunately God does not ask us to perform superhuman feats and acts of great bravery. Rather He wants us to make a joyful noise unto the Lord, clap our hands, sing praises to His Name, (Psalm 47) pray (Psalm 32:6) share His word (1 Cor 1:17-18) through preaching, teaching, and testimonies. Most of us can make a joyful noise, sing, clap and share what God has done in our life, therefore we are all able to worship our holy, almighty, loving and awesome God. Robin Hoffman will be leading our new service and he will be supported by Lillian Sherman as the vocalist for the Awakening Praise and Worship. Also, we will have a host of other guests joining us as we launch this new service. We have already been in contact with two gentlemen that will be playing guitars during our service, twice a month. Also, our new service will be recorded to DVD to share with those who can not make it on Sunday morning. The DVD will be available in the church library following the service. Multimedia will be an important aspect of ‘Awakening’. When you join us for our new service be ready to see exciting new graphics, praise music on our large projection screen, as well as a live video feed of our service so that everyone in the sanctuary will have a front-row set when praising our Lord. Through the hard work and determination of our Rockawalkin family, we will truly see an Awakening at our church. Join us Sunday mornings at 8:45am for ‘Awakening’, beginning March 18th. Be prepared to see a lot of new things in and around our church as we begin to “market” our new service. AWAKENING KICK-OFF Stop by the church on Friday, March 16th at 6pm for our Awakening Kick-Off Celebration. We will host a party that will preview some of the exciting events that our new contemporary service will be contributing to Rockawalkin. Please make a note to come to the church Friday, March 16th at 6pm, just bring yourself and anyone else who is interested in knowing more about ‘Awakening’. Food, drinks and much more will be provided!
