MISSION STATEMENT

Our Mission statement it is a reflection on the mission that currently shapes Rockawalkin Church today. This reflection is shown in the Mission Statement adopted by the Administrative Council as a general view of how we (the congregation) want to be known as a church family in the community:

To lead people into a relationship of salvation with Jesus Christ in obedience* to God's calling through the direction of the Holy Spirit.

The following are the Bible verses on which this mission is based:
I Peter 2: 9 -10
9But you a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
Matthew 28: 19-20
19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

*ACTS OF OBEDIENCE
Reflect on the holiness of God
1 Peter 1:15
15But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;
Offer Spiritual sacrifices Romans 12:1
1Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship.

Intercede for His people before God
Isaiah 56: 7
7These I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.

Represent God before humanity
I John 1: 1-3
1That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched - this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. 2The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 3We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
